Episode 27: Nerd Herd 2: The Nerdening

Hey guys, does ‘nerdening’ have one D or two? Nerddening. Nerdening. Making up words is hard. Speaking of things that are hard… to come up with, we really didn’t have a set topic for this episode. Terry, Colin, Natalie and Molly just sit around and nerd-out for a bit.

Gnerd News:
– The CW is at it again and ordered a pilot based on the british show Tomorrow People. Does The CW have any shows that are not based on something else? Arrow. The Vampire Diaries. The Carrie Diaries. Beauty and the Beast.I guess they have had Emily Owens, M.D.

– Speaking of reboots, The Cartoon Network is bringing back The Powerpuff Girls! While they’re at it, they also picked up a new show called Steven Universe which is about  the youngest member of a team of magical Guardians of the Universe and the show is CN’s first with a female showrunner.

– Then there is Hamish Steele’s and his pilot for Cartoon Hangover called Dead End.I’m just going to quote the summary here: “Three students, Barney, Norma, and Pugsley, move into “Dead End”: the house at the end of Morningwood Road. When they discover that their Internet is haunted, they must appease the ghost before she makes a meme of them all.” You can listen to Hamish on one of the latest Drawn This Way podcasts.

Gnerd Rage:
Terry’s upset about Young Justice being canceled and Colin still hasn’t recovered from Awake not being renewed.

We spend some time talking about Colin’s favorite subject: Video Games! In particular Journey, Ni no Kuni and The Cave. Then we hear about Molly’s time in jolly ol’ England and what it’s like to study Shakespeare.
